Synopsis: Season of the Witch is not about Michael Myers; it is the only film in the main series that does not feature him, as it was intended to start an anthology series of Halloween-themed films. John Carpenter and Debra Hill wanted to use the Halloween; title for different horror stories each year, and while Michael Myers was brought back for later installments, the third film focuses on a plot involving a mask company trying to kill children on Halloween night. A doctor uncovers a sinister plot involving Halloween masks and an ancient ritual. The terror unfolds without Michael Myers in this standalone entry.
